The kind folks over at Bloggers4Labour have listed the EUROPA-Soirée on 21st November on their calendar system – see this post about the service, and the details of the event at the main LME-LSE website. So we’re getting the pro-EU message across via the blogging community at least!

The Guardian recently devoted a special edition of G2 to Poland – “And now a little something for our Polish readers”. We have taken on the baton and so now…a little something for our Polish voters. Always ahead of the political grapevine game, the Guardian picks us up on our tongue-in-cheek venue…
“Pandering to Stereotypes?
Finally, the Backbencher was delighted to see that a soiree – yes, that’s the word they use – is being held on November 21 to discuss The Polish Voter and what Labour can do to attract him or her. (EU citizens have the right to vote in local, regional and European elections.) The venue? The Plumbers’ Arms in Westminster.”
You can subscribe to the Guardian Backbencher at

So what do you think of the choice of venue name and should the Polish Plumber be the next Mondeo Man or Worcester Woman?
